Evelyn Dolores Stoye

February 9, 1927 — August 31, 2021

Evelyn Dolores Stoye, age 94, passed into eternity on August 31, 2021, into the arms of Jesus. She was born on February 9, 1927 in Queens, NY to her late parents, Ernest and Alberta Zito. Evelyn worked as a Xerox Operator at Grumman Aerospace for 20 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edwin J. Stoye, whom she married on October 4, 1952; and brother, Ernest Zito Jr.

Edwin and Evelyn had three children together, Janet, Rene, and Edwin Jr. They moved to Massapequa, Long Island, NY and stayed there for 34 years. Later in life they relocated to Effort, PA where they loved living their retirement life together. After Edwin passed on, she moved to Dallas, GA to live near her son and his family. She loved being in Georgia making new friends, attending MacLand Baptist Church, and then Burnt Hickory Baptist Church. She enjoyed Bible Studies in her community and her Sunday School class at her church. Evelyn was always ready to travel to different places and loved playing cards and games. She enjoyed watching baseball, especially the New York Mets. Evelyn enjoyed family time most of all.

She is survived by her children, Janet (Stephen) Wickers, Rene (Walter) Malskis, and Edwin Jr (Patty) Stoye; grandchildren, Charles (Jessica) Wickers, Steven (Amber) Wickers, Rachel (Evan) Hernandez, Jonathan Stoye, Luke (Zione) Malskis, and Bethany Malskis, ; great-grandchildren, Hailey Wickers, Lily Wickers, Violet Wickers, Savannah Wickers, Silas Wickers, Asher Malskis, and Evelyn Malskis.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Evelyn Stoye will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday September 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Matt Petty officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service starting at 11:00 AM.

The service will be live streamed from our Facebook page once the service time approaches.
