Evelyn Shipp
September 13, 1916 — July 10, 2010
Evelyn Hendrick Shipp, age 93, of Hiram, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010. She was born on September 13, 1916, to the late Herschel and Kattie Lou Hendrick, and was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Dorsey. Ms. Shipp was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and an honorary member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include, son, Dale Shipp of Hiram; daughter, Jane Brown of Hiram; brother, James Hendrick of Callahan, FL; sisters and brother-in-law, Evabee & Gene Newman of Hiram, and Bobby Lee of Dallas; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with Dr. Gill Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 12, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
