Eugene Talmadge LaFavor, SR, age 83, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016. He was born on October 30, 1932, in Gibson, GA, to the late Allen & May Kelly LaFavor, and was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Virginia LaFavor. Mr. LaFavor was a United States Army Veteran and retired as a mechanic from Dekalb County Board of Transportation after 24 years.
Survivors include his son, Eugene T LaFavor, JR, of Rockmart, GA; daughter, Virginia Carol Powell of Rockmart, GA; brother, Bobby R. LaFavor of Conyers, GA; grandchildren, Steven Chapman of South Carolina, and Timothy Chapman of Charlotte, NC.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 2 PM, from White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth, GA.
