Ethel Joyce Carpenter, age 71, of Marietta, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011. She was born in Texas, September 22, 1939, and was preceded in death by her parents, Claude & Ruby Emma Grace Carroll, and her husband, James Otis Carpenter.
Survivors include her children, Tina Carpenter & husband, Julio Olvera of Villa Rica, GA, Brenda Smith of Acworth, GA, and James Carpenter of Ballground, GA; sister Martha Hunkapillar of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren, Holly Long, Jason Moore, Tiffany Amber Carpenter, Colby Olvera, Tristan Olvera, Andrew Olvera, Adam Olvera, and Nicholas Olvera; great-grandchildren, Keaton Moore, Amber and Joel; nieces and nephew, June Carpenter, Barbara Head, Gayle Lovelace, Rick Carpenter and Joyce Ann Nelson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Brother Chip Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 26, 2011, from 11:00 AM until the service time.
