She grew up in a loving family with her siblings Heather (Neil) Davis of Norwich, New York, Keith (Jennifer) Lynch of Marietta, Georgia, Allyson (Wayne) College of Syracuse, New York and Dawn Leon of Salem, Oregon. From an early age, she was known for her compassion, loyalty, and caring for others.
Erin was a devoted wife, mother, sister, teacher, and friend. She is survived by her children: Jordan Taylor and his wife Britney, with their daughter McKenzie; and her daughters Lizzie, Maddie, and Caroline.
Education was Erin’s calling and lifelong passion. She earned her Master’s degree in Special Education and went on to dedicate over 30 years to teaching. She poured her heart into her students, especially those who faced the greatest challenges, and she touched countless lives as both a mentor and a role model.
Faith was at the center of Erin’s life. As a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, she found strength, community, and purpose. Her church family walked alongside her in both joy and hardship, and she remained steadfast in her belief that God had a plan for her life.
Those who knew Erin will remember her fierce devotion to her family, her joy in motherhood, and her boundless love that extended not only to people but also to the many animals who found a place in her home over the years.
