Dennis Deal

Dennis Wayne Deal, age 71, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. He was born on June 5, 1954, to the late Howard and Eva Deal. Dennis brought joy, laughter, and a deep passion for history to everyone who knew him. He lived a life full of adventure, curiosity, and dedication.

A true history enthusiast, Dennis spent many weekends hunting Civil War relics and participating in reenactments, honoring the past with enthusiasm and respect. He was a Past Master of Beulah Lodge and a proud member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, where his commitment to preserving history left a lasting legacy.

Dennis also found great joy in attending New Hope Second Baptist Church, where he enjoyed worship and fellowship with his church family.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Dean Deal.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Reeves Deal; his brother, Billy Deal (Jean); brother-in-law, Johnie Reeves (Loretta); sisters-in-law, Julie Ford, Jean Miller (Russ), and Jane Liston (Tim); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Sam Clark Chapel, with Rev. Todd Tibbitts officiating. Interment will take place at New Hope Cemetery, with members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans serving as pallbearers.
