Deborah Findley Vernon

Mrs. Deborah Findley Vernon, age 68 of Hiram, Georgia, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026. She was born August 10, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of the late Carl Ernest Findley and the late Irene Esther Densmore Saladrigas.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Dallas, Georgia. Deborah was a woman of prayer and faith, known for her kindness and generosity. She found great fulfillment in sharing her faith with others, often giving out Bibles to those she encountered. Deborah was a devoted homemaker who loved her husband and family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She was known to be plain spoken and honest and found comfort in her love for animals.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 49 years, Philip Norman Vernon, to whom she was married December 3, 1976; two daughters, Shelby Vernon Arnold (Jason) and Lori Vernon Chumley (Jeremy); son, Philip Casey Vernon (Leigh Ann); brother, Steve Findley (Carla); sister-in-law, Nancy Vernon; fifteen grandchildren, Christian Morris (Courtney), Chloe Arnold, Kyle Arnold, Finley Arnold, Payton Vernon, Caleb Vernon, James Vernon, Rachel Vernon, Jacob Chumley, Brycen Chumley, Eli Chumley, Laci Chumley, Gracie Chumley, Carlie Chumley and Levi Chumley; and two great-grandchildren, Hartlyn Morris and Parker Morris.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, March 23, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow in the Sam Clark Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Frank Crowe officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed below or by following this link: Live Stream 

Deborah will be laid to rest at Paulding memorial Gardens following the service with Christian Morris, Kyle Arnold, Caleb Vernon, James Vernon, Jacob Chumley, Brycen Chumley and Eli Chumley serving as pallbearers.
