Deborah "Debbie" Lee Gowder, a beloved wife, devoted volunteer, and avid traveler, peacefully passed away surrounded by friends on August 16, 2023. She was born on February 15, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, to her loving parents, Jesse and Delores Garrison. Debbie loved to travel with her beloved husband, Gordon, to Disney World and other places to attend festivals. Her passion for marine life and conservation led her to provide invaluable support to the aquarium's mission. She loved spending time with the turtles and penguin exhibit. Deborah's memory will forever be cherished by her surviving relatives, including her uncle, Jack Garrison, and cousins, Jack Garrison Jr., Rick Garrison, Gaye Lee Jones, Patricia Garrison, Diane Wray, and Nancy Hagerty.  She is also survived by her dear friends, Mike and Angela Conley, Jake and Erica Tukua, Jody Dunn, Mimi DeArman Outlaw, Michael Hart, and Tia Hart who provided spiritual support. Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Cheryl, and her loving husband, Gordon Gowder.

In accordance with Debbie's wishes, she will be cremated and will be scattered at sea alongside her husband, Gordon.
