Darthy "Dot" Bickers

July 25, 1940 — October 20, 2026

Mrs. Darthy "Dot" Bickers passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026, at the age of 86. Dot was born on July 25, 1940, in Canton, GA, to the late Robert and Ollie Ingram. Dot spent her life in service to her family and community.

Dot did not know the meaning of quit. A can-do kind of lady and a first-class entrepreneur, she approached life with confidence, ingenuity, and a willingness to work hard. After graduating high school, Dot worked as a legal secretary handling real estate closings. She and her husband, Arthur, started Lakeland Homes building many residential homes in Cobb County and later started Hallmark Plastics and Distributors, where they created post-form countertops. Later she earned her insurance license before deciding to pursue real estate.

With her gift for connecting with people and finding solutions, she became known for helping buyers secure financing and achieve their dream of homeownership. She also helped many others get into the real estate industry offering her knowledge and guidance; she wanted everyone to be successful.

Above all, Dot was a loving mother and a giving person who cherished her family. She took an active interest in their lives, offering love, encouragement, and support. She shared an amazing 68 years of marriage with the love of her life, Arthur Bickers. Their partnership extended through family, business, and a lifetime of building together.

Along with her parents, Dot was preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Bell, Barbara Jo Simpson, Roberta Wilson, Sue Hill and Pat Hill.

Dot was a beloved wife to Arthur Bickers and an amazing mother to her children, Barry (Diana) Bickers, Tammy Bickers and Simone Kovarova. She took immense joy in being a grandmother to Brett (Ashley) Bickers, Bart (Ashley) Bickers, Brittany (Tate) Zachmeyer, Bailey (Jessica) Bickers, Stephanie (Chase) Diamond and Scott (Dana) Proctor, and loved her great-grandkids dearly-Justin Bickers, Parker Bickers, Aspyn Bickers, Stella Rae Bickers, Maverick Bickers, Tyson Zachmeyer, Shiloh Bickers, Savannah (Kyle) Barnes, Madyson Gaynor, Cora Diamond, Carson Proctor and Devin Proctor. Dot is also survived by her brother Robert (Pam) Ingram, sister Peggy (Darrell) Baxter, and many nieces and nephews.

Dot will be laid to rest at Piney Grove Cemetery with Brett Bickers, Bart Bickers, Bailey Bickers, Scott Proctor, Justin Bickers, and Parker Bickers serving as pallbearers.
