Daniel Simmons passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born on April 13, 1952, in Algiers, Louisiana, to the late Mr. Marvin Simmons Sr. and Mrs. Margaret Simmons.
Daniel was a man of many passions. A true Mopar enthusiast, he had a soft spot for classic cars, especially his cherished 1966 and 1967 Dodge Chargers. His love for speed extended to the track, where you could often find him glued to NASCAR races, cheering on his favorite drivers.
In the kitchen, Daniel was a master of flavors, cooking up mouthwatering gumbo and reveling in the delights of Cajun cuisine. He had an adventurous spirit, relishing trips to the mountains and embarking on scenic train rides. Whether he was enjoying the beach, exploring swamps, or taking in the breathtaking views at the Grand Canyon, Daniel's love for nature and travel enriched his life. An avid coin collector, Daniel cherished the stories behind each piece and enjoyed sharing his finds with family and friends.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Marvin E. "Buster" Simmons Jr.
Daniel leaves behind his beloved wife, Patricia Simmons, with whom he was married for 35 wonderful years. Along with his two daughters, Danielle Simmons and Rebecca (Adam) Evans. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Colin Evans and Emilie Romines, along with his sister, Claudia (Vincent) Fazzio, and dear nephew and niece, Zachary Fazzio and Sunshine Fazzio.
In accordance with Daniel's wishes he was cremated.
Daniel's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He may be gone, but the stories, laughter, and love he shared will remain with us always.
Clark Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the servoci of Daniel Simmons.
