ODaniel Loyd Priest Sr., 73, passed away on October 30, 2025. Daniel was born on January 28, 1952, in Carrollton, Georgia, to the late Earnest Priest and the late Edna McCleary. He lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to his family.
A skilled carpenter, Daniel spent his life in the construction industry, building homes and taking great pride in his craft. Beyond his work, he devoted many years to ministry as a preacher at Trinity Baptist Church, where he faithfully shared God's Word and touched countless lives through his compassion and dedication.
A man of faith, he loved the Lord deeply and found joy in his family and friends. He was known for his spitfire personality, gentle heart, and a spirit that brought warmth to everyone around him. Daniel had an unwavering passion for Elvis Presley, whom he loved almost as much as he loved Jesus.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Deborah Priest; daughter, Dannial Vincent, and her husband, Joe Vincent Sr.; son, Daniel Priest Jr.; grandchildren, Joe (Laura) Vincent Jr. and Brittanie (Jerramy) Tollen; and great-grandchildren, Aubrie Vincent, Kenzlie Vincent, Braylee Vincent, Reed Tollen, Deegan Tollen, and Maverick Tollen; sisters, Sandra Pope, Tammy McCleary; brothers, Frank McCleary, Neil McCleary, Bobby McCleary, Terry Priest, Ray Priest and a host of nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Sam Clark Chapel, with Rev. Don Rackley officiating. Daniel will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, with family members serving as pallbearers.
As we remember Daniel, we find comfort in knowing he is resting in peace with his Savior. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
