Daniel “Danny” Corley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel "Danny" Gene Corley, who left this world on August 18, 2025, at the age of 70. Danny was born on July 16, 1955, in Marietta, Georgia, to the late Pledger and Eva Mae Corley. Danny was a true outdoorsman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Danny was well-known for his love of hunting, fishing, and spending time on the water. Some of his favorite memories were made while catfishing in South Georgia, where he cherished moments of peace and connection with nature. He also had a passion for cooking, sharing delicious meals with family and friends.

Danny and his wife, the late Susan Moore Corley, were married for 29 wonderful years and built a beautiful life together. Danny is survived by his son, Todd (Brandi) Corley, and will be dearly missed by his sisters, Denise Johnston and Donna Walker Fritz. He is also remembered fondly by his nephew, Jeffrey Walker, and his nieces, Dana Sullivan and Nikki Walraven as well as great nieces and nephews Westyn, Tinley, and Everett Sullivan, and Kyla Walraven. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Kyle Walraven.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for visitation. A Funeral Service will be held at Narroway Baptist Church on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM, where friends and family can come together to celebrate Danny's life. Following the service, Danny will be laid to rest in the Narroway Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts and Rev. Todd Tibbitts officiating. Lee Smith, Cole Phillips, Jeffery Sullivan, Jesse Elliot, Fisher Collins, and Sawyer Collins will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Aiken, Kenny Smith, Tim Shipp, and Terry Monk.
