Connie Padgett

December 16, 1949 — February 15, 2024

Connie Padgett, lovingly known as Sugar by her family, passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born on December 16, 1949 to Charles and Margaret Phipps. Connie retired from Cobb EMC as a Human Resources Representative and loved helping others. She loved to travel but especially loved going to Florida and visiting the beach with her family. In Connie's life, her family was of upmost importance. Her favorite thing to do for them was to cook and make sure no one left her house hungry and without a bit of sugar. Her and her husband, Mike's, house was known as home where everyone was welcome. Throughout her life, she gave service to all. Meaning each member of her family was well taken care of and always felt very loved. Connie cherished her sweet family and loved them beyond measure and always made sure to spoil her grand and great-grand children. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and all those who knew her.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Phipps. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Mike Padgett; sons, Sonny (Tricia) Yother, Casey Engler, Buck Engler, and Tim (Josie) Padgett; five grandchildren, Jesse Yother, Aly Yother (Patrick), Rylee Yother, Cynthia Margaret Engler, and Daisy Padgett; four great-grandchildren, Aubrey Phillips, Connor Yother, Paisley Haslett, and Tinsley Haslett; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene (Billy) Barnette; nephew, Shane Newton; and great-nephew, Joseph Newton.
