Clifford Ed Zachery

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a brother, Clifford Ed Zachery, age 69, of Dallas, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2023.

Clifford was born on July 29, 1954, in Villa Rica, Georgia to the late Clarence Zachery and Mable Moreland Zachery. He joined Flat Rock Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from the Carroll County School System in 1973.

Clifford worked for several years and retired from the Rayloc Company in Atlanta, Georgia. After retiring, he filled his time with the things he loved the most, planting flowers, cutting grass and doing creative woodwork.

Clifford married his beloved Alvin Michele Rachel on April 27, 1979, in Paulding County. In April of 2023 they celebrated God's blessing of 44 years of marriage. To this union two children were born, Chanta M. Zachery Flemister and Tiffany L. Zachery; later Renee L. Fretwell joined the family.

Four siblings preceded him in death, James B. Zachery, Willie Zachery, Betty Mae Fretwell, and Virginia White. He is survived by three daughters, Chanta M. Zachery Flemister (Jarvis) of Dallas, Georgia; Tiffany Zachery of Dallas, Georgia; and Renee L. Fretwell of Austell, Georgia; and one grandson, Donovan P. Flemister of Dallas, Georgia; two brothers, Ray V. Zachery of Douglasville, Georgia and Curtis Zachery, Sr. (Helen) of Villa Reica, Georgia; three sisters, Linda White of Douglasville, Georgia; Jonie Lovelace of Austell, Georgia; Brenda Sue Almond (Milton) of Hiram, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, in the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Susan Jones and Rev. Klenneth Montgomery officiating. Nieces and nephews will serve as flower ladies and pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
