Cherrell Lynn Jefferies

Cherrell Lynn Jefferies, a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted wife, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 21, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on October 12, 1958, in East Point, Georgia, to the late Bobby and Margie Thompson, Cherrell was known for her kind heart and unwavering love for her family. A dedicated homemaker, she poured her soul into caring for those around her and was truly a mother figure to everyone she met.

Cherrell had a passion for cooking, enjoyed playing games on her phone, and was always ready for fun and laughter. She was also an animal lover, with a special fondness for dogs and cats. Cherrell never hesitated to lend a helping hand, embodying a true spirit of kindness.

In addition to her parents, Cherrell was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jean West.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Anthony Jefferies; her sons, Chris Jefferies and John Gaines; her daughters, Julie Jefferies and Amanda Bentley; her brothers, Bobby (Elithia) Thompson and Bruce (Karen) Thompson; and her cherished grandchildren, August Jefferies, Jayden Jefferies, Alaynah Jefferies, Kilee Jefferies, Kison Black, Kaylynn Black, Tristan Gaines, and Andalynn Gaines, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A memorial service to celebrate Cherrell's life will follow at 3:00 PM in the Sam Clark Chapel.
