Mr. Charles D. Osborne, age 86, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on February 16, 2026. Born on November 21, 1939, in Dallas, Georgia, Charles was the beloved son of the late Amos M. Osborne and the late Bertha M. Alexander Osborne. He was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, Doris Marie (Burt) Osborne, with whom he shared an extraordinary 68 years of marriage. Throughout their life together, Charles exemplified love and partnership, treating Doris like a queen and nurturing a bond that inspired all who knew them.
Charles dedicated himself to his career as a property manager for Selig Enterprises until his retirement, after which he pursued a fulfilling second career as a locksmith. Charles cherished his faith at Northside Baptist Church, where he loved to serve and worship. An avid traveler, Charles enjoyed spending quality time with Doris in Hiawassee, Georgia, and at Weiss Lake in Alabama. He had a passion for gardening, taking pleasure in nurturing flowers, and relished the simple joys of life, often found on his cherished tractor.
In addition to his parents, Charles is also preceded in death by his son, Reggie Osborne; siblings: Diane Osborne, Bobby Osborne, and Cecil Osborne; and his brother-in-law, R. L. Robinson.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Doris Marie Burt Osborne; his daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Steve Swanson; daughter-in-law, Martha Osborne; sisters and brother-in-law, Doris Robinson, and Ruby (Danny) Patrick; his sister-in-law, LaForrest Osborne; grandchildren and their spouses: Katie and Justin Smith, Becca Oliver and Trey Various, and Wesley and Lianna Osborne; great grandchildren: Reece Smith, Raigen Smith, Abel Osborne and Calvin Osborne; several nieces and nephews.
