Charles Edward Holston Sr.

Mr. Charles Holston, age 72, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Charles was born on June 29, 1953, to the late J.W. and Annie Ruth Holston in Atlanta, Georgia.

Charles was a dedicated mechanical engineer in the construction industry, where he made lifelong friends. An avid fisherman and lover of the lake, Charles found peace and joy in the great outdoors. He was a die-hard college football fan, proudly supporting both Alabama and Georgia teams. He also had a soft spot for his furry friend, Gucci, who was always by his side.

Along with his parents Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann Pye.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kristina Dennis Holston; three sons, Kristopher "Kyle" Holston, Sean (Robyn) Leatherwood, and James "Jamey" (Amy) Leatherwood; daughters, Kristina Michelle (Tyler) Holston, and Kelly Cantrell Hill, brother, Jimmy (Martha) Holston; and sister, Joyce Crumpton. Charles had a special bond with his grandchildren-Madison Leatherwood, Carly Leatherwood, Casey Leatherwood, Tyler Leatherwood, Abigail Sheets, Mason Thompson, Ansley "Pickles" Sheets, Layla Walraven, Austin Sheets, Kylie Holston, and Parker Holston-and was a proud great-grandfather to Savajhe and Savayah McDonald. His family was everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Charles' family will hold a memorial service to honor his life on June 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Sam Clark Chapel. Visitation will be prior, starting at 12:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home. Friends and family are encouraged to come and share stories, remember the good times, and celebrate the wonderful life that Charles lived.
