Charles Haley

May 26, 1936 — March 19, 2024

Charles Edward Haley passed away on March 19, 2024, at age 87. He was born on May 26, 1936, to the late Ivey and Lois Haley at home in Haralson County, Georgia. Charles retired from Lockheed Martin after 34 years and was a skilled plumber. His favorite thing to do was to be outside working in his garden. He loved to farm, cut and bale hay, and tend to his crop. If you were to ask him his hobbies, he'd say, "I just like to work". Back in his younger days, he raised cotton too. Charles could do anything and everything you'd ask him too. No task was too great, and he took pride in all that he did. Charles was a hard-working man and will fondly be remembered as such by all those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Clara Yvonne Dancy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Lillie "Bell" Haley; his first wife of 29 years, Laura Haley; his son, Bobby Haley; his daughters, Julie and Garry May of Calhoun, Georgia; Brenda and Keith Brookshire of Cartersville, Georgia; his step-daughter, Diane Miller of Dallas, Georgia; grandchildren, Garry John May, Elisha May, Michael and Katrina Jacobs, Kayla Jacobs, Craig Garrett, Jennifer Brown; great-grandchildren, Kaden May, Kayanna and Bailey Beckett, Kaleigh May and Easton Groover; great-great-grandchildren, Grayson Beckett, Rowan Jacobs, Briar Jacobs; his siblings, Velmon Haley, Ricky Haley, Susan Fields; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
