Cathy Balkevicius

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Cathy Balkevicius, who left us peacefully on April 27, 2025, at the age of 67. Cathy was born on December 5, 1957, to the late Alfred and Doris Rizer in Gainesville, Florida. Cathy called Powder Springs, GA, home, but lived in many different cities throughout her life.

Cathy was a free spirit who loved nothing more than relaxing at the beach, where she found her happy place under the sun. She also had a deep love for shopping, always on the lookout for the next great deal. Anyone who knew her could attest she had an eye for treasure and made even simple outings an adventure.

Cathy leaves behind her two wonderful daughters, Michelle Balkevicius and Melissa Jacobson, and 6 grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Cathy also leaves behind her loving significant other, Albert Craven, with whom she had spent the last 34 wonderful years. Together, they have countless memories and stories that will keep her spirit alive for generations to come.

A celebration of life for Cathy will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home. All family and friends are invited to attend where we will share stories, laughter, and love in her honor.

Cathy, we will miss you dearly, but we know your light will continue to shine in all of us. Rest in peace.
