Carolyn "Lynn" Spinks

Carolyn "Lynn" Spinks of Dallas, GA, 74, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026 in her home, with her loving husband by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Lynn was born on November 29, 1951 in Camp LeJune, North Carolina to Charlene "Lee" Marie Casteel and Charles "Chuck" Roy Sparks. They lived a life of adventure being a military family and moving to various places around the globe. Lynn's favorite duty station was Kaneohe, Hawaii where she loved wearing her Hawaiian Muumuu dresses and enjoyed the most beautiful flowers, and beaches. Lynn poured her heart into her clients and coworkers throughout her career as a Cosmologist at Hair Designs by Suzi & Co. in Beaufort, SC. She didn't just change how people looked; she changed how they felt about themselves through her pure, selfless spirit.

Lynn was a dedicated wife, mother, and "Meme." She is survived by her husband James "Jim" Spinks, Jr. of Dallas, GA, who she was with for over 26 years. Children Keri Cook (Layne) of Beaufort, SC, Kelly Starr (Joshua) of Dallas, GA, and Kyle Spinks (Alexis) of Taylorsville, GA, five grandchildren Amy Zorn, Andrew Graham (Abbie), Cameron Cook (Alexis), Marcus Cook (Paige), and Noah Spinks.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charlene "Lee" Marie Casteel and Charles "Chuck" Roy Sparks.

A celebration of life will be held at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA on Sunday, April 26th, where the family will receive friends from 1-2pm for visitation with a service following at 2pm.
