Bobby Russell Paris
Born on May 2, 1936, in Dallas, Georgia, Bobby Russell Paris, fondly known as Russ, passed away at the age of 87 on November 20, 2023. With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a remarkable man whose presence brought warmth and kindness to all who knew him.
Russ began his career at Norfolk Southern Railroad, dedicating many years of service as a conductor before retiring. When he wasn't working, he found solace in the great outdoors. Known for his generosity and selflessness, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Russ is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Lyndal Beavers Paris; his parents, Wesley Eugene Paris and Vena Freeman Paris; his siblings Thomas Seawright Paris, Dewey Paris, and Margene P. (Doyal) Holland. He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, Linda (Lynn) Holley, Larry (Phyllis) Paris, Wanona Davis, Dana (Mark) Pergrem, David (Monica) Hart, Stephanie Beavers, and Adrianna Beavers. His brother-in-law Tonny (Susan) Beavers, sister-in-law Diane Beavers Hart, great nieces and nephews, Whitney Davis, Nickolas Davis, Emi Pergrem, Chloe Pergrem, Jeremy Hart, and Hannah Barber, as well as numerous other family members and friends, also mourn his loss.
Funeral services to honor Russ's life will take place at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. The visitation will begin at 12:00 noon, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm in Clark Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Don Rackley will officiate the service. Russ will be laid to rest at Paulding Memorial Gardens.
