Bobby Joe Jones

Bobby Joe Jones, beloved father, grandfather, and devoted brother, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on February 2, 1939, in Marietta, Georgia, to the late Lewis and Alice Jones. Bobby spent his life in service to his family, his community, and his work in the construction industry.

Bobby was a proud veteran of the United States Army (101st Airborne), embodying the values of discipline and commitment that defined his life.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joanne Jones; brothers, Roy and Ted Jones; and sisters, Dorothy O'Neal and Kathy Roberts

He leaves behind his treasured family; sons, Scott (Jeanne) Jones and Jonathan (Melissa) Jones; grandchildren: Connor, Maddie, Jett, Finley, and Presley Jones, Nicholas and Jacob McCurley. Bobby's love for his family extended to his sisters, Gladys Ackerman, Kay Moore, and Betty Carmen; brothers, Albert Jones and Bill Jones; many nieces and nephews, who will remember him with great fondness.

A passionate outdoorsman, Bobby found joy in hunting and fishing, and he relished many fond memories at Panama City Beach. He also enjoyed playing cards, bowling, creating lasting bonds with family and friends during countless spirited games.

A visitation in honor of Bobby Joe Jones will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. His funeral service will take place at Sam Clark Chapel on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.

Bobby Joe Jones leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
