Billy Fisher, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, peacefully departed this world on June 24, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on July 9, 1941, in the heart of Tennessee, Billy was the son of the late Boyd and Elise Fisher. Billy's journey through life was marked by love, strength, and the will to stay strong when facing hard times.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Fisher, with whom he shared many years together. On June 24, he was reunited in heaven with all of those who had gone before him: his son, Wayne Fisher, daughter, Vicki Hudson, and his grandson, Casey Weaver. Several of his siblings also made their journey home before him: his brothers, Bobby, Lloyd, Tommy, Hurbert, and Paul Fisher, his sister, Bertha Gibson, and several nieces and nephews whom he cherished deeply.
Billy's surviving family members are his son, Billy, and wife Andra Fisher, his daughter, Wanda, and husband Steven Weaver, and his grandchildren, Eliz.a.beth, Shane, Christopher,
Jonathan, Justin, Amanda, Ashley, Courtney, Corey, and Cason. He was blessed with 21 greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandson, each of whom brought much joy to his life. He is also survived by two sisters, Kathy Neece and Sue Brookshire, and two brothers, Simon and Demus Fisher. His extended family includes a very special lady, Shelby Fisher, and Devon, Linda, and Donald, who held a special place in his heart.Billy spent over 30 years working for Allied Food, where his hard work and dedication
were well respected. Even after retirement::, Billy's restless spirit kept him active as he took up scrapping metal, always staying on the move, and finding purpose in every day. Beyond his work, Billy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing and those peaceful moments spentby the fire with his son, Billy. He was a man who enjoyed playing cards and was fondly known for trying his luck on the "ding ding machine" and lottery tickets at the local convenience store. Above all, Billy treasured time spent with his family, whose company he valued more than anything else.
Billy's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses at Rome HomeHealth for the compassion and patience they showed in caring for Billy the last several years before and after both of his leg amputations. Your kindness and care have been a great source of comfort: in our time of need.
Billy lived a life full of love for his family. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we say goodnight, we take comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his loved ones in a place of peace and eternal sunshine. He was an extraordinary man surrounded by love for and from his family throughout his remarkable life.
