Billy Clayton

September 30, 1958 — May 11, 2026

Mr. Billy Clayton was born on September 30, 1958, in Douglasville, GA, to the late Ray and Dorothy Clayton. Billy passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the age of 67. He was a devoted family man who made his home in Muscadine, AL, where he lived a life filled with hard work, love, and laughter.

Billy was known for his skills as a commercial painter. He approached every job with pride and passion, earning a reputation as one of the hardest-working men in the business. When he wasn't on the job, you could find him indulging in his favorite pastimes: hunting, fishing, and spending time on the water. Billy cherished days at the lake, camping with family and friends, truly appreciating the simple joys of life.

Billy was married to his beloved wife, Denise Clayton, for an incredible 42 years before her passing. Their love was an inspiration to all who knew them. Billy carried that same devotion to his children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. A self-proclaimed "piddler", Billy had a knack for tinkering around the house. He took great pride in his yard, which he meticulously cut the grass every day, ensuring it always looked its best.

Along with his parents and wife, Billy is preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Clayton, and sister, Joanne Lockaby.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Amanda (David) Reese; son Chad (Marissa) Clayton; his grandchildren, Hannah Reese, Sarah Reese, Levi Clayton, and Everleigh Clayton; his siblings Johnny (Arlene) Clayton and David Clayton. He had an innate ability to connect with his family, always making time for them and sharing his passion for life.
