Mrs. Betty Jane Thomason, age 85, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on December 7, 2025. Betty was born in Cave Springs, Georgia, on November 21, 1940, to the late Emmett and Gladys Morgan. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Betty was married to the late Charles Thomason for over 50 years. Together, they raised their family and built a wonderful life together in the Paulding County area.
Betty was an avid birdwatcher and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She would often spend hours in her garden, where she grew an array of beautiful flowers that brought color and life to her home. Betty also had a special fondness for horses. But above all, she loved her family.
Along with her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy
Thomason; son Michael Thomason; sister, Louise Haygood, and brother, Hoyt Morgan.
Betty is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth (Robin) Thomason, Charles Thomason, and Eugene Morgan; sister and brother-in-law, Darlene (Jerry) Moore; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Lynn) Morgan and Doug (Carlo) Morgan; her grandchildren: Amanda, Julie, Brandon, Josh, TJ, Nick, Scottie, and Breanna; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held at the Sam Clark Chapel on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
Betty will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dallas, Georgia, following the service with Josh Morgan, Tj Thomason, Nick Thomason, Scottie Inskeep, Matt Wigley, and Corey Harrison serving as Pallbearers.
In this time of sorrow, her family invites all who knew Betty to remember her as a woman who loved deeply, lived fully, and brought joy to those around her. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her loved ones.
