Betty Jean Swanson

Mrs. Betty J. Swanson passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at the age of 89. She was born on June 22, 1937, in Powder Springs, Georgia, to the late David and Nancy Evans. Betty was a vibrant spirit who lit up every room she entered.

Betty dedicated many years of her life to the jewelry retail industry, sharing her passion and talent as a sales associate at Fancy That Fine Jewelry. She had a knack for making every customer feel special and appreciated, just as she made everyone around her feel loved and valued. Betty was married to her soul mate, Anderson Bart Swanson, for an incredible 69 years before he passed away in 2023.

As her beloved daughter beautifully reflected, "She was my mother and my friend. She was my ride-or-die girl. From the time I was born, she was my sweetheart. She was an advocate for me, my entire life. She was always the prettiest and most feisty girl in the room." She is now reunited with the love of her life and resting in the arms of her Lord.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Denise Swanson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Clark Funeral Home from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Sam Clark Chapel at 2:00 PM. Betty will then be laid to rest in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty's name to Calvary's Children's Home.
