Betty (Smith) Overton

Betty Jean Overton passed away March 1, 2022. She was born on May 30, 1942 to the late Howard and Stella Smith. Betty had a green thumb and loved her flower garden. She enjoyed making others laugh with her jokes and had the best sense of humor. Betty adored her family, especially her grandbabies, and she will be very missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Overton and her siblings, Ed Smith, Coy Smith, Leon Smith, and Ginny Emory. She is survived by her son; Jon (Jo) Hagler, daughter; Cindy (Ronald) Diggs, son; Matt (Amanda) Hagler, brother, John Roger (Brenda) Smith, 9 grandchildren, David Lemons, Madeline (Miles) Streetman, Natalie (Matt)Freeman, Jesse (Ryan) Eidson, Tomi Hagler, Lindsey (Jeff) Heath, Josef (Jenna) Hagler, Levi Agan, Kendell Agan, 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Funeral Services for Mrs. Overton will be on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rodney Coleston and Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow at Beulahland Cemetery with David Lemons, Matt Freeman, Brooks Emory, Josef Hagler, Levi Agan, and Kendell Agan serving as pallbearers.
