Belinda Lummus, age 72, of Rockmart, died Saturday, July 19, 2025. Born in Guntersville, Alabama, on November 10, 1952, Belinda dedicated her life to nurturing her family and friends, often embracing her role as a mother with an open heart, not only to her sons but also to others she came into contact with.
As a devoted homemaker, Belinda created a sanctuary for her family, filling her home with comfort and joy. With a passion for crocheting, Belinda often infused her creativity into every stitch, crafting cherished keepsakes that will be handed down through generations.
Belinda is survived by her loving son, David Lummus (Lisa), and her siblings: David Hand, Edgar Hand, Mary Jane Cooper, Janet West, Jamie Millholland, Jody Talley, Lawson Talley, and Bobby Talley. She is also survived by her grandson, Seth Harrison Lummus. Each of them carries with them treasured memories of her kindness. Belinda was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lummus, and son, Wesley Lummus.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Sam Clark Chapel beginning at 11 a.m., where friends and family will gather to honor her life and celebrate the enduring impact she made on all who knew her. Family and friends are invited to visit with the family before the memorial service, beginning at 10 a.m.
