Barbara Jean Brown

Mrs. Barbara Jean Brown, age 83, passed away on September 29, 2026. She was born on December 2, 1942, in Hiram, Georgia, to the late Hubert and Gladys Leggett. Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Barbara was known for her creative spirit. She had a flair for crafts, dabbling in everything from crocheting and painting to sewing and ceramics. Her eye for beautiful jewelry also made shopping an adventure, and she always found the perfect piece to add a little sparkle. A true people person, Barbara was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Traveling to the ocean and soaking up the sun at the family condo brought her immense joy. But no matter where she was, her heart was always with her family. Barbara dedicated herself to being the best wife to her husband of 66 wonderful years, Harold Brown, and was fiercely proud of the family they created. You could often find Barbara right beside Harold, helping him with whatever task he was doing.

Barbara was Baptist by faith. She found solace in reading her Bible and serving the Lord. She loved cooking, cleaning, and working in her garden, but spending time with her family brought her the greatest happiness.

In addition to her parents, Barbara is also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Leggett.

Along with her husband, Barbara is survived by her sons, Chris (Cheri) Brown, Danny (Kelly) Brown, Joe (Ronda) Brown, and Ken (Melanie) Brown. She cherished her grandchildren, Tiffany (Pete) Bellnier, Nick (Marla) Brown, Ryan (Crissy) Brown, Todd (Faith) Brown, Logan (Hedvig) Brown, Justine (Jordan) Benjamin, Mason (Jackie) Brown, and Kaydee Brown, along with her great-grandchildren, Addie, Locklyn, Brandt, Blake, Hadley, Kenzleigh, Evie, Noelle, Amara, Ashlynn, Reese, Rett, and Peri. She loved creating lasting memories with each of them.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Barbara's life. A visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow in the Sam Clark Chapel at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Barry Snapp and Chaplain Christy Haase officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest at Paulding Memorial Gardens with Ryan Brown, Nicholas Brown, Todd Brown, Logan Brown, Mason Brown, and Danny Brown serving as pallbearers.

Barbara will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the love she shared so freely.
