Mrs. Anita Bailey, age 74 of Dallas, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026. She was born February 14, 1952 in Amarillo, Texas, daughter of the late Thomas Gene Rogers and the late Florence Brown Rogers.
She was a member of the Dallas First United Methodist Church and was an educator for 37+years having taught in Texas and Georgia. She had a passion for sewing, quilting and crafting, where she make beautiful creations for family and friends. Anita enjoying traveling, especially to the beach or enjoying the beauty of the mountains.
Music was a huge part of Anita's life. Whether she was playing the piano, ringing handbells, or singing in the church choir, her love for music touched everyone around her.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Bailey to whom she was married November 25, 1978; a daughter, Julie (Lewis) Boynton; two sons, William Bradley Bailey and Jeffrey (Heather) Bailey; brother, Mike (Pam) Rogers; seven grandchildren, Connor Bailey, Ava Bailey, Owen Bailey, Lucy Bailey, Finn Bailey, Birdie Boynton and Bonnie Boynton; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Dallas First United Methodist Church with Rev. Blake Trent officiating. A visitation will take place at the church prior to the service from 12 noon until the memorial hour.
