Anderson Bart Swanson

Anderson Bart "Pop" Swanson, 92, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. He was born on May 19, 1931, Son of (the late) Anderson and Edith Swanson Sr in Atlanta,GA. "Pop" worked for the Department of Transportation for over 20 years. He served in the United States Army from 1951 until 1955.

Our "Pop" was the strongest and smartest man we knew. A Humble spirit but more importantly, a man of faith and integrity. He was always madly in love with his wife Betty and adored his daughter Denise. Our rock and our inspiration. He loved all his family and extended family with great passion.

"Pop" is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Swanson; a daughter, Denise Swanson.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, July 07, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Graveside Service and Interment for Anderson will be held at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery on Friday July 7, 2023 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Dwayne Terry officiating. David Morgan, Jimmy Evans, Jimmie Neal, Earl Reed, George Johnson and Jamey Evans will be serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Anderson's honor towards the The Calvary Childrens Home.
