Alma Joyce Hall, age 87, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025. She was born on September 5, 1937, in Etowah, Tennessee, to the late Alden and Beulah Daniel. Alma was married to the late John Lazerus Hall for 57 wonderful years.
Alma dedicated her life to nurturing the minds of young students as a teacher at Youth Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia, where she served for 28 years. She was deeply passionate about education and touched the lives of many with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to her students.
Residing amongst the tranquil mountains, Alma found joy in nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly fishing with her husband. She was known for her love of cooking, especially during gatherings at the deer camp, where her family and friends cherished her warm hospitality.
Alma is survived by her two sons, John (Terri) Hall and James (Elaine) Hall. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren, Crystal (Bryan) Godwin, Courtney (Weston) Love, Brendon Hall (Courtney Villareal), Danya (John) Nelson, and Kat (Wil) Hoyt. Her great-grandchildren, Kyla Godwin, Isabella Love, Emma Love, Colin Clifford, Anya Clifford, Arianna Bechley, and her brother, Jack Daniel, along with many nieces and nephews. Alma will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Along with her parents and husband, Alma was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Daniel, Jerry Daniel, and James Daniel; sisters June Daniel White, Jean Culberson, and Joan Culberson and grandson John Wesley Hall.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Conasauga Baptist Church Cemetery in Etowah, Tennessee. Visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 29, 2020, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor her memory and the impact she made in the lives of those around her.
