Allie Ruth Gunter, age 96, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014. She was born on September 28, 1918 in Carrollton, GA, to the late Wiley & Camilla Parrish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Gunter; sons, David Paul Gunter, Larry Allen Gunter, & Michael Lee Gunter; and daughter, Hershella Ann Holloman. Mrs. Gunter was a homemaker, and was a member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include, son & daughter-in-law, Robert & Judy Gunter of Powder Springs; brothers, Roy Parrish of Carrollton & Rex Parrish of California; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Reverend Lamar Rackley officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home.
