Sylvia "Tootie" Lane

April 28, 1962 — November 2, 2018

Sylvia “Tootie” Horn Lane, age 56 of Dallas, GA passed away on November 2, 2018. She was born on April 28, 1962, in Columbus, GA to the late Emmanuel and Christine Horn. She graduated from Jordan Vocational High School upon graduation she joined the United States Marine Corp Reservist. Sylvia graduated from University of West Georgia with a B.S. in Special Education to pursue her passion for teaching.  Sylvia was employed with the Paulding County Board of Education.  She was a multiple organ donor due to her generosity she has given others a second chance at life.

Sylvia leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband of 35 years, Tommy Lee Lane, Sr. of Dallas, GA; sons, Tommy Lee (Brandy) Lane, Jr. and Christopher Tommy Lane, both of Dallas, GA; six grandchildren whom she thought were the greatest, Christopher Jr., Lily, Alana, Chloe, Camryn and Carley; sister, Earika Horn; brother, Ricky Horn, sister-in-law, Ruby Lane; brother-in-law, Glamorous Lane, two uncles, Roger Williams and Cleveland Williams, all of Columbus, Ga, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Deborah Opie     officiating.  Interment will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.  Jerome Watkins, Tommy Lane, Jr, Christopher Tommy Lane, Jason Turner, Chase Reed and Lorenzo Cox will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, November 7, 2018 between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any Special Olympics or the American Cancer Society.
