Shirley Ann Thurmond

Shirley Ann Thurmond, age 62, of Dallas, GA. passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018. She was born on October 21, 1955 in Dallas, GA. to the late E.J. “Joe” McCallie and Juanita Shelton Southerland. Mrs. Thurmond worked as a pharmacy technician at C & C Pharmacy and as the activities director for Kimberly Assisted Living Community. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dallas, GA.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Thurmond of Dallas, GA., son, Joey Thurmond of Dallas, GA., brothers; Wayne and Carol McCallie of Dallas, GA., Michael and Tammie McCallie of Dallas, GA., Eugene and Gina McCallie of Dallas, GA., sisters; Kathy and David Harrell of Douglasville, GA., Clarissa and Donnie Smith of Dallas, GA., and her grandchild, Tyler Thurmond of Dallas, GA. Numerous nieces and nephews are survived by her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thurmond will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 3:00 PM from The Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Hicks officiating. Interment will follow the service at Paulding Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be; Kyle McKinney, Tim Roberts, Kim Curl and Randy Jordan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 3:00 PM.
