Pvt. E3 Readus Moore Jr, 23, of Hiram, GA, earned his angel wings on July 1, 2019. He was born on August 11, 1995 in Cincinnati, OH to his biological mother, Annette Whigham and father, Readus Moore Sr. He was raised by his “Mother in Love”, Judy Appling of Hiram, GA.

Pvt. Readus Moore, Jr. was known by his charming smile and charismatic heart. He was an active duty member of the 4-70 AR Thunderbolts Battalion at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas. He volunteered to serve his country as a Tanker during the time of war. He was an Armor Crewman assigned to Bravo Company, 4th Battalion, 70th Armor Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combate Team. Upon enlisting into the armed services, he earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. Pvt. Moore was a member of New Mountain Top Baptist Church in Winston, GA.

Moore leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to: his father, Readus Moore, Sr. of S.C, Mom, Judy Appling and Fiancé, Michael Manuel of Hiram, GA, son, Jaylon Lanier Moore of Douglasville, GA, brother, Darius Bracey of Hiram, GA, brother, Isiah Bracey of Hiram, GA, brother, Tyrus Laten of Hiram, GA, brother, Kevin Whigham of Cincinnati, OH, brother, Cleveland Thomas of Cincinnati, OH, brother, Marvin Thomas of Cincinnati, OH, brother, Stevas Moore of S.C, sister, Monique Browning of S.C, sister, Jessica Moore of Cincinnati, OH, grandparents; Alice Whigham of Cincinnati, OH, grandparents; Rev. Vernice and Deacon James Appling of Cincinnati, OH, aunts; Sandra Williams of Dallas, GA, Aunt, Regina Whigham of Cincinnati, OH, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Pvt. Moore was preceded in death by his biological mother, Annette Whigham; grandmother, Rosa Lee Appling, grandfather, Jessie Whigham and aunt, Charlene Appling.

A breakfast in honor of Pvt. Moore will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at New Mountain Top Baptist Church at 9:00 AM with a visitation and viewing to follow beginning at 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM with Rev. Vernice Appling officiating. Interment will follow the service at The Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
