Dorothy Nicholson Duvall

Dorothy Nicholson Duvall, age 90, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019. She was born in Thomaston, GA, to the late William I. and Addie Lou Lindsey Nicholson on February 13, 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hammond Duvall, and two sons, Ronnie Duvall and Ethan Duvall, three brothers and three sisters. She was a member of Corner Baptist Church and attended Flint Hill Methodist Church. She loved quilting, dancing, gardening, and she enjoyed doing hobo dinners for the church.

Mrs. Duvall is survived by two sons, Mike (Sarah) Duvall of Woodstock, GA and Sam Duvall of Hiram, GA; two daughters, Esther (Jack) Clark of Clayton, Delaware, and Gloria (Daryl) Hames of Port St. Joe, FL; sisters, Anner Frad of Mountain Home, Idaho, Jeannene Clark of Marietta, GA, Patricia (Clarence) Ransom of Acworth, GA, and Charlotte (Richard) Young of Rydal, GA;  11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, and many other relatives as well as a multitude of friends.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 12 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be at Bullard Family Cemetery in Powder Springs, GA following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paulding County Senior Citizens Center, 54 Industrial Way N., Dallas, GA 30132.
