Clinton Warner 'Buddy' Ragsdale Jr.

Clinton Warner ‘Buddy’ Ragsdale Jr, age 92, of Hiram, GA, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. He was born on March 10, 1927 in Hiram, GA, to the late Clinton Warner Sr. and Florine Ragsdale. Mr. Ragsdale worked as a timber manager for Georgia Pacific and was a faithful member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Buddy was the past Master at the Bartlett Masonic Lodge and a proud member of the Yaarab Shriners. Mr. Ragsdale was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Dale Ragsdale, parents, sisters; Tish Rakestraw, Carolyn Garmon, brother, John D. Ragsdale, and daughter in law, Becky Ragsdale.

Survivors include his sons; C.W. ‘Sonny’ Ragsdale III of Hiram, GA, Robert and Malinda Ragsdale of Dallas, GA, daughter, Rhonda and Ed Gregory of Dallas, GA, grandchildren; Christie Williams, Joseph Dodd, Mary Ellen Smither, April Sutton, Rachael Womack, Scott Ragsdale, great grandchildren; Jessica Howell, Courtney Howell, Alex Dodd, Meredith Dodd, Stetson Smither, Pearl Smither, Warner Sutton, Avey Sutton, Dixie Womack, Zowie Womack, Sophie Womack Slate Womack, Tyler Ragsdale, Wesley Ragsdale, great-great grandchildren; Easton Pittman, Henleigh Edwards, Haven Edwards, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Buddy Ragsdale will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lamar Rackley officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers are Joe Dodd, Scott Ragsdale, Alex Dodd, Stetson Smithers, Warner Sutton, Larry Ragsdale.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
