Tom P. Ryan, age 89, of Dallas, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012. He was born in Boston, MA, on August 4, 1923, and was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Francis Ryan & Ellen Dolan Ryan and his wife, Alice Chabot Ryan. Mr. Ryan was a World War II Veteran of the U. S. Army and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service as a letter carrier, after 30 years of service. Mr. Ryan was a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Reverend Fleming Chapter, in Glastonbury, CT and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Timothy & Kathleen Ryan of Acworth, GA; daughter, Theresa Ryan of Portsmith, RI; grandchildren, Shawn F. Ryan (Erin), Gregory W. Ryan (Heather) and Justin Ryan; great-grandchild, Carson Ryan.
A memorial mass will be held Friday, January 18, 2013, at 2:00 PM, from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Father Adrian Pleus officiating.
