Johnny Lee Johnson, age 79, of Powder Springs, GA., passed away on May 25, 2017. Johnny was born on October 6, 1937 in Dallas GA. He was preceded in death by his mother Roma Johnson, his wife, Carol Evelyn Johnson, and a Daughter, Barbara Johnson McCollum. Johnny was retired from General Motors after 33 years of service. Johnny was a faithful member at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Dallas and also served as a deacon.

Survivors include his son, Terrell Johnson of Dallas, GA., his sister, Linda Jordan of Dallas, GA., his 3 grandchildren; Paul Johnson, Colby McCollum and Spencer McCollum; and a number of other relatives are survived by him.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11:00 AM from Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Dallas GA., with Reverend Todd Tibbitts and Hershel Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be; John Pearson, Adam Pearson, Marshall Pearson, Grant Pearson, Derek Jordan, William Moore, Darryl Farmer and Chris Farmer. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Buck Holland, Lamar Tibbitts, Harold Pearson, Henry Walraven, Jimmy Corley, Cecil Akins, Floyd Benson, Al Walker, Jack Walker, Randy Pearson Howell Towbar Ruff and Matt Fountain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The family will greatly appreciate flowers or donations to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery fund, donations can be sent to the Church Clerk at: ATTN: Chris Farmer 1232 Trahlyta Terrace Lake City, GA. 30260.
