Effie Sims Hammond

Effie Sims Hammond, age 92, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017. She was born on April 19, 1925, in Rome, GA, to the late Hiram & Artie Johnston, and was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Sims; sons, Buddy Sims and James Sims; and daughter, Betsy Sims Morgan. Mrs. Hammond was a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan & Steven Cook of Dallas, GA; eight grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 4 PM from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 30, 2017, from 3 PM until 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Dallas.
